MCAB Spring Golf Outing 2011

This past Spring, The KB Experience planned a great event for the Montgomery County Association for the Blind. Supporters of MCAB came together for a round of golf at Sunnybrook Golf Club to raise funds for the nonprofit.  The outing was successful in raising money to help MCAB continue to provide help the blind in Montgomery County.

It was also a great opportunity for attendees from the Philadelphia area to network and build contacts while supporting a great cause.  Golfers joined up in foursomes for a shotgun start.  Because of the great weather they were able to get in a full round of golf and enjoyed the course at Sunnybrook Golf Club.

Included in their round of golf was a blind putting challenge.  The attendees were blindfolded and asked to put a ball, a great way to show their support for MCAB and their mission!

A cocktail hour and dinner reception followed to fuel the hungry golfers. During cocktail hour there was a silent auction featuring a ton of great finds from the Philadelphia sports teams.  This was a great way to raise more money for MCAB and for attendees to be able to take home a souvenir from all of their hard work golfing. Overall the event was a great success in rallying support for the Montgomery County Association for the Blind and to raise money to help them keep on with all of the great things they do in the community.

5th Annual Age of Augustus Toga Party- June 4, 2011

Age of Augustus recently hosted their 5th Annual Toga Party to raise funds for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.  This great themed fundraiser was a huge success and a fun event to attend.  We held the party at the Fairmount Boathouse with the scenic Schukyll River as a backdrop.

Everyone danced the night away to the music of Satellite Hearts, a local Philadelphia band who kept the music upbeat and everyone moving.  And, with Mother Nature at our side, the attendees were able to take a break and cool of outside and enjoy the great riverview.

The food, catered by Triumph Brewery, tasted as good as it looked. The myriad of hors d'oeuvres kept everyone full and happy all night long.  To compliment the great food Barefoot Wines, one of our sponsors, donated a variety of wines that were a great addition to the open bar.

The Toga Party was successful in meeting its goal to bring people together in support of the Marines and to raise money in support of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.  At the end of the night everyone walked away with great memories and experiences and a sense of camaraderie in joining together to support a great cause.

If you missed the event, Heart of Philly covered it and the video can be seen below!

Like what you see?  Come out for next year's Toga Party that will be held in early June at Fairmount Boathouse.  Be sure to check back later for more details about the event!
